Deaf Nationals 2009
A great tournament at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton. Catherine claimed a hat trick during these Championships and claimed all 3 titles for the first time. The bonus was us winning our second mixed doubles title together. Lewis was runner-up in the Mens Doubles and in the Singles after a closely fought 3rd set bowed out in the semi-final to the eventual winner.

BBC Sports Personality of the Year
This event took place in Sheffield and it was brilliant to be a part of this as VIP Guests! We met some great sporting icons and it was certainly a night to remember!
Sir Cliff Richard Charity Dinner
We were both invited to this occasion at Hampton Court Palace which was an honour. On top of this Catherine (& Anthony) were interviewed by Annabel Croft in front of Sir Cliff Richard and his guests regarding our success at the Deaflympics. Not too sure whether the final at the Deaflympics or this was more nerve wracking?!!
Wiltshire Tennis Awards 2009
At the Wiltshire Tennis Awards (2009) which were held at Marlborough Golf Club Catherine won Player of the Year, Lewis got a special mention for his successful debut at his first Deaflympics tournament. On top of that Ramsbury Tennis Club won Club of the Year. All the awards were presented by Sir Geoffrey Owen (President of Wiltshire LTA).
